THORPS was founded in 2008 in the Schenk’s Corners area of the Atwood neighborhood on Madison’s east side. We are conceived as a community-minded business, specializing in haircuts and color services.

Inspired by the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere of traditional neighborhood barbershops, our approach to customer service is direct, educational, and attentive but not overbearing.

Our team comes from a well-rounded history and our staff has a variety of specialties. While each of us has a unique approach, together we accommodate our customers’ needs for achieving both traditional and experimental hairstyles.
