All of us at Savage Organics are passionate about producing and sharing our line of all-natural, organic skin care, hair care and beard care products. The idea behind Savage Organics—using all-natural, organic skin care and hair care products—began thousands of years ago in east Africa and Asia. People in Africa and Asia had been using natural, plant based oils and balms for centuries and these traditions were passed on from generation to generation. Africans and Asians are taught to make health and beauty products from what nature provides to them. They shy away from most store-bought products as these products contain many human-made chemicals and additives that have no place in nature and no place in your beauty routine.
Rick, the founder of Savage Organics, has been a lover of nature since he was a child, which was probably inherited from his parents, both of whom were born in the great State of Texas and passed along their love of the great outdoors. As a child, Rick always wanted to be outdoors. To pursue his passion, he became a Cub Scout and later a Webelo and then a Boy Scout. Hiking, camping and canoeing were Rick’s favorite activities as a youth and he took every opportunity to spend time outdoors enjoying nature. Rick is also an avid reader and researcher and over the years he studied everything he could find about camping and hiking, including the use of trees and plants for survival, food, and medicinal purposes.
Rick’s interest in organic skin and hair care products was piqued years ago when he met his best friend, Sarah, who was born and raised in Nyeri, Kenya, which is outside of Nairobi. Before immigrating to the USA, Sarah had learned the ancient skin care and hair care secrets that the people of Africa and South Asia had been using for centuries. Sarah and Rick talked for many hours about the different types of natural skin care and hair care products available and the benefits and uses of each. So enlightened, Rick launched his own research effort to learn more about the history and use of organic all-natural beauty products.
After beginning his research, Rick was shocked! He learned that virtually all skin care and hair care products on the market contain loads of human generated chemicals. In fact, there are over 80,000 chemicals on the market in the USA and the FDA only restricts the use of 11 types of those chemicals in beauty products. That’s right, only 11 types out of 80,000 chemicals have any restrictions on them, so manufacturers of beauty products are free to toss in practically anything they want, with few restrictions. Armed with this knowledge, Rick started his company, Savage Organics, which is dedicated to providing our customers with only the best all-natural organic skin care and hair care products, so they can avoid the harsh, chemical-laden products on the market.
